She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL), psychiatrist. Her primary focus was building a thriving, highly collaborative CL service that provides psychiatric treatment to patients in the surgical and medical units, including the oncology and Palliative Care Units. She also received an Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines for the management of vulnerable patients in hospitals.

She is also the Provincial Practice Director for Psychiatry within BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC and the Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty member in the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has an interest for a long time in musculoskeletal research and educational. She currently teaches Neuromuscular and musculoskeletal medicine to the Family Medicine residents and has ongoing research projects on musculoskeletal education electrodiagnostic medicine, as well as performing arts medicine.
